Se nos dio la oportunidad de reflexionar acerca de la recuperación de una piscina de verano en el municipio de Gilet.
Su entorno, inmejorable, un parque cubierto por pinos.
El programa, hacer funcionar la piscina y, para ello, sus vestuarios.
Hasta ahí se nos pedía y por tanto, a partir de ahí nos tocaba proponer.
Construir lugar en vez de ocuparlo era el objetivo.
El proyecto propone un único volumen que se apoya en dos cotas distintas, resolviendo el uso que cada una de ellas precisa.
En la cota inferior, el edificio se convierte en una transición de paso hacia la piscina donde se ubican los vestuarios.
En una cota intermedia, el edificio se convierte en una cafetería y lugar de reunión de padres y niños, convirtiendo esa terraza anteriormente sin uso en la terraza semicubierta de la cafetería desde donde controla actualmente la totalidad del parque.
Finalmente el proyecto se construyó como se planteó, como una estructura precisa en un entorno natural, capaz de atraer a la vez que respetar, manteniendo el silencio contenido como punto de partida en un entorno que así se quería mantener.
We were given the opportunity to reflect on the recovery of a summer swimming pool in the municipality of Gilet.
Its surroundings, unbeatable, a park covered by pine trees.
The program, run the pool and, for that, their changing rooms.
So far we were asked and therefore, from there we had to propose.
Building place instead of occupying it was the goal.
The project proposes a single volume that relies on two different dimensions, solving the use that each of them requires.
At the lower elevation, the building becomes a transition to the pool where the changing rooms are located.
At an intermediate level, the building becomes a cafeteria and meeting place for parents and children, turning that terrace previously unused on the semicovered terrace of the cafeteria from where it currently controls the entire park.
Finally the project was built as it was raised, as a precise structure in a natural environment, capable of attracting at the same time to respect, keeping the silence contained as a starting point in an environment that wanted to keep.
