Volver a lo clásico para seguir innovando.
Esta es la teoría de la nueva propuesta gastronómica del Restaurante Teide. Menos elementos pero más puros y sofisticados. Frente a este planteamiento el espacio debía responder de la misma manera.
Una envolvente cuadrada se ordena en base a una cruz y dos círculos concéntricos. En cada uno de los cuatro espacios delimitados por los brazos de la cruz, un ambiente íntimo, acotado y medido para establecer el confort de una agradable degustación.
Cada brazo de la cruz, con una naturaleza y función concreta. El brazo construído será el apoyo de cada ámbito de trabajo, el brazo deconstruído, un filtro de privacidad que permita el paso de la luz natural.
Cada círculo concéntrico, también diseñado según diámetro, materialidad y función. El interior, suspendido sobre las mesas para iluminarlas de manera precisa, ayudando a delimitar cada uno de los espacios. El exterior, encargado de definir el ámbito de circulación perimetral e iluminarlo, a la vez que su tejido se convierte en el principal receptor de absorción acústica del restaurante.
Nogal, terrazo y tejido son los materiales elegidos para seguir manteniendo la tradición en una atmósfera de nuevo contemporánea.

This is the theory of the new gastronomic proposal of the Teide Restaurant. Fewer elements but more pure and sophisticated. According to this approach, the space had to respond in the same way.
A square envelope is ordered based on a cross and two concentric circles. In each of the four spaces delimited by the arms of the cross, an intimate, limited and measured environment to establish the comfort of a pleasant tasting.
Each arm of the cross, with a specific nature and function. The constructed arm will support each area of work, the deconstructed arm will be a privacy filter that allows natural light to pass through.
Each concentric circle, also designed according to diameter, materiality and function. The interior, suspended above the tables to illuminate them precisely, helping to delimit each of the spaces. The exterior, in charge of defining the perimeter circulation area and lighting it, while its fabric becomes the restaurant’s main acoustic absorption receptor.
Walnut, terrazzo and fabric are the materials chosen to continue maintaining the tradition in a once again contemporary atmosphere.
